The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan has updated its type approval regulations, reducing the validity of certificates from 3 years to 1 year.
This change took effect on September 15, 2024.
Additionally, the new regulations introduce labeling requirements, specifying that labels must include the manufacturer's name, brand, model, marketing name, and IMEI for cellular devices.
Certain products, such as printers, copiers, monitors, desktop computers without high-power radio functionality, and devices supporting only Bluetooth technology, are exempt from type approval.
