【India】 BIS CRS delay issues
India BIS applications for China, Vietnam, and Indonesia have been pending with MeitY since August. Despite efforts to communicate, we’ve received no positive responses.
We understand CRS registration delays (up to four months) are widespread. BIS officers noted that the issue lies with MeitY, and they can’t take action. Higher government instructions seem to be impacting CRS processing, leaving MeitY unable to resolve it.
A recent article highlights BIS rejecting certification from suppliers in China and Vietnam and focusing on promoting local manufacturing.
